ANTHONY QUINN BEACH
The beach owes much of its popularity to the war film ‘The Guns of Navarone’ that was made here in 1961. The beach earned its name after Anthony Quinn not only because the movie starred the famous actor but also because Anthony Quinn himself fell in love with this magical spot so much as to buy the land during the filming of ‘The Guns of Navarone’. The bay is especially popular with young people who do not mind the its rocky shore that might be a little dangerous for families with young children or elderly people. Better choice is to rent a boat and visit the bay from the sea side.
